NAS Pensacola Lead Shelf Stocker

Site: Pensacola, FL

MISSION:

SUMMARY:

Perform Shelf Stocking duties at NAS Pensacola Commissary in an efficient and effective manner. Reports to the site leadership team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The list of essential functions below is intended to be representative of the tasks
performed within this job. Other duties may be assigned based on business need.

  • Oversee the activities of the shelf stocker staff to ensure accomplishment of daily activities.
  • Understand contract requirements as it relates to their position.
  • Ensures military quality assurance standards are met via visual inspections and timely completion of required reports.
  • Monitor man-hours and other contract costs to assure contract requirements are met within budgeted expenditures.
  • Provide on-going training for staff and follow-up support in your work area.
  • Assist in time studies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum two years related experience of which one year needs to have had lead
    responsibilities.
  • Must be able to pass a background screening for access to the work areas.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

SKILLS & CAPABILITIES:

  • Good communication skills (e.g., able to effectively respond to common inquiries or complaints; able to satisfactorily present information in oral or written formats).
  • Effective interpersonal abilities. Able to get along with diverse personalities; is tactful and professional. Service oriented.
  • Reasoning Ability: Able to identify issues or problems, evaluate facts and draw valid conclusions. Able to “think-on-your-feet.”
  • Good administra­tive skills; comfortable performing multiple tasks concurrently; and attentive to detail for quality performance.
  • Physical Requirements: Requirements will vary depending on the assigned tasks. This position does require extraordinary physical demands (e.g., lifting, push/pull, carrying, climbing, squatting, kneeling and prolonged standing). Will involve operating equipment, lifting/moving of 40 pounds.

SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

  • Tasks are regularly performed inside without exposure to adverse environmental conditions (e.g., dirt, heat, cold, rain, fumes).
  • Will need to use any personal protective (safety) equipment as designated properly and consistently.
  • Required training provided by the company.
  • Some tasks may be performed independently with little supervision.

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE:

Must be authorized to access and work on government installations.

SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Tasks are regularly performed inside without exposure to adverse environmental
    conditions (e.g., dirt, heat, cold, rain, fumes).
  • Will need to use any personal protective (safety) equipment as designated
    properly and consistently.
  • Involves exposure to hazardous materials (i.e., cleaning solutions and bio hazards-waste.).
  • Required inoculations and training provided by the company.
  • Some tasks may be performed independently with little supervision.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Requirements will vary depending on the assigned tasks. This position does require the following: repetitive lifting, push/pull, carrying, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and prolonged standing. Will involve lifting/moving up to 40 pounds. These requirements can be met with or without reasonable accommodations.

SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Some tasks require manual dexterity, in addition to visual and hearing acuity.

Availability

Nighttime position, 7 pm until complete.

Full-time, $17.75 per hour
