JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for performing assigned warehouse duties in an efficient and effective manner.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The list of essential functions below is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this job. Other duties may be assigned based on business need.
- Monitors performance and productivity to maximize operational excellence, which includes service, quality, cost control and safety.
- Responsible for identifying areas of improvement and establishing and/or updating existing work procedures and practices.
- Understand contract requirements as it relates to warehouse and day operations
- Ensure the Warehouse remains organized and segregated according to contract specifications.
- Help oversee the activities of the day shelf stocker and day custodial staff to ensure daily activities are appropriately completed and productions standards are being met.
- Ensure quality assurance standards are met via inspections and timely completion of required reports
- Assist with determining staffing levels and assigning workload; to include training and cross training of warehouse staff, to include forklift certifications and administration of forklift training program and baler safety.
- Maintain and provide reports and other documentation as assigned. This includes, for example:
- Warehouse truck logs, proper counts, and production information
- Quality assurance reports
- Administrative support documentation (example: incident reports, conduct or training reports, performance appraisals)
- Provide additional operational support to the Project Manager, including:
- Scheduling of warehouse workers
- Assistance in conducting time studies
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma (or equivalent).
- Three years related experience (warehouse operations) of which one year needs to have had supervisory or lead responsibilities. Experience needs to include effective Operation of Forklifts and hydraulic pallet jacks.)
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS:
- Needs to maintain a valid, state drivers’ license, satisfactory driving record and appropriate insurance.
- Individual needs to satisfy program’s target population certification criteria.
- Note: May be waived if population demographics are materially greater than contractual requirements or for other defined operational purposes.
- Able to obtain access to federal institutions.
In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Experience in similar position required, example: Lead or Coordinator roles
- Intermediate computer knowledge
- Ability to work independently
- Good communication skills (example: able to effectively respond to common inquiries or complaints; able to satisfactorily present information in oral or written formats).
- Effective interpersonal abilities. Able to get along with diverse personalities; is tactful and professional. Customer service oriented.
- Reasoning Ability: Able to identify issues or problems, evaluate facts and draw valid conclusions. Able to “think-on-your-feet.
- Good administrative skills; comfortable performing multiple tasks concurrently; and attentive to detail for quality performance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requirements will vary depending on the assigned tasks. This position does require extraordinary physical demands (example: lifting, push/pull, carrying, climbing, squatting, kneeling and prolonged standing). Will involve operating equipment, lifting/moving a minimum of 40 pounds with a maximum of 60 pounds.
PRIMARY EQUIPMENT/TOOLS:
Forklifts, hydraulic lifts, and other standard warehouse equipment.
ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Working conditions are predominantly at the work sites. Does involve frequent office work. Work at sites may involve vehicle and equipment driving.
- Will need to use any personal protective equipment as designated properly and consistently.
- Satisfactory completion of designated safety training required within first 30 days of placement and annually thereafter.
SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Some tasks require manual dexterity, in addition to visual and hearing acuity.
Availability: Full Time Day shift including Saturdays
Rate of Pay: $18.25 per hour
